What does your score say
about you?

54-68 Congratulations!
You are truly living from your inner voice. You are listening to what
you know, feel, sense and want and incorporating their messages into
your life. You are in touch with the Voice of the Larger Self guiding
you from within. And you are adept at using your inner voice to improve
your relationships and pursue your dreams. Still, you may have noticed
some areas of your life where you’re not following your inner voice
quite as much as you’d like.

42-53 You’re doing
very well. But you may want to look at the areas of your life where
you are having trouble following your inner voice
. If you find yourself
scoring low on question 1, you may want to look at Chapter Seven, Developing
Your Sense-Ability
. For questions 2 and 12, Chapter 8 on the Voice
of the Larger Self
could be helpful. Question 6 is addressed in
Chapter 4, Just Say Know. For help with question 8, look up Chapter
9, Holding Onto Your Self: the Foundation of Relationship. And
try looking up Dr. Helene’s Six Steps to Powerfully Positive Wanting
in Chapter 10, Deepening the Connection for help with question
9.
Question
10 is addressed in Chapter 3, The Outside Voices. Help with questions
11 and 14 can be found in Chapter 11, Manifesting an Authentic Life.
Question 13 is answered in Chapter Two, Waking Up to Your Inner Voice.
Finally, scoring a “3″ or a “5″ in question 15 comes
from following your inner voice in all the ways addressed by the other
questions.

If you scored under 42,
your inner voice may feel drowned out or muffled, but it isn’t gone.
It’s not even as far away as you may think. By following some simple,
do-able steps, you can “turn up the volume” on your inner
voice, re-connect with yourself inside, and get back in the driver’s
seat of your life.

HELP

3)
Three points for answering “yes” and three for answering “no.”
(You can’t answer this question wrong.) Most women feel as though they
have other people’s needs, desires and opinions occupying their minds,
making it difficult for them to hear their own opinions, feelings or
desires. I call these outside voices. So give yourself three points
for being aware that they’re there! RETURN TO QUIZ

4)
One point for answering “true” and four for answering “false.”
Many women give up on their goals and dreams too quickly, sometimes
by attaching meaning to the fact that they’ve hit roadblocks. They decide
that the “Universe” must not be on their side. Sometimes this
tendency has been exacerbated by people or books that seem to suggest
that if you’re truly aligned with the Universe, what you want will manifest
quickly and effortlessly. The truth is, pursuing what you truly want
rarely goes smoothly. Running into difficulties may mean you need to
adjust your strategy — but it doesn’t mean one single thing about the
goodness of your dream. RETURN

5)
One point for answering “true” and three for answering “false.”
Wanting may be the most important pathway of all to the inner voice,
because it is the engine behind all change. It empowers you to move
past your limits and grow. No matter what anyone has ever said, trying
to deny or transcend your true wants doesn’t get rid of them — it just
makes life less fun. I’ve found that the people who live most closely
to their inner voice are not those who have the most, but those who
want the most. RETURN

7)
One point for answering “true” and three for answering “false.”
Negative emotions don’t need to be transcended or overcome, they need
to be listened to with compassion, especially if they keep coming back
again and again, because they are trying to tell you something very
important about yourself and your life. For help with learning how to
deal with feelings like sadness and anger so that you can hear their
life-giving message without being overwhelmed by them, read Chapter
Six, Having Your Feelings Without Them Having You.
